Generally, I like Fire Emblem’s voice acting and Warriors raises it to the next level. Even cooler than the music though is the wonderful voice acting. If you go to the Extras menu, you can listen to all the game’s music! Pretty cool. Fire Emblem games always have fantastic soundtracks and Fire Emblem Warriors is no different. I do wish there was a bit more variety in the types of places you visit but, overall, this is an amazing looking game.Īs for the game’s music, I think its great. And the game’s environments look really great too, especially in cutscenes.
The combination of cel-shading with realistic looking characters is fantastic. And I think it does a great job of that with its graphics too.įire Emblem Warriors is one of the best looking games on the Nintendo Switch. The action may be different from the regular Fire Emblem series, but this is a game that wants to please FE fans anyway. Perhaps the menus would be easier to navigate with the touch screen?įire Emblem Warriors is an excellent game though. I’m not sure how the game would take advantage of either though. That said, this game does not take advantage of the Switch’s motion controls or touch screen gameplay. This is a really easy game to pick up and play control wise. Fire Emblem Warriors is a blast and that has a lot to do with its controls.įire Emblem Warriors has great controls.
I wouldn’t say that Fire Emblem Warriors is as fun as a regular FE game, but its a great game and I think a lot of fans of the series will like it. I love the action, leveling the characters up, and finding out where the story will go next. The gameplay can feel repetitive from time to time, though not enough to stop the game from being fun. History mode does take the game out of the fort experience a little but mostly it stick with the forts. I do think that this forumla works better with the Fire Emblem charactes because of the strategy invovled and the personalities of the characters. Most of Fire Emblem Warriors follows the basic save the fort and fight tons of enemies fomula that was in Hyrule Warriors. Warriors is a game thats paying tribute to the series that its connected to and also has its own gameplay. However, there is some strategy to be had and everything from this game’s menus to the character’s speical moves feel very Fire Emblem. The action-packed gameplay of Fire Emblem Warriors is about as far away from the strategic turn-based gameplay of regular games in this series. This game is a totally different experience from previous Fire Emblems and yet its also a game that somehow still feels like it belongs in the series. I couldn’t really tell if any of the events from the mode were from other Fire Emblem games or not. History Mode seems ok, but doesn’t really live up to its name. When I talk about this game, I’m largely talking about the Story Mode. Out of these modes, the Story Mode is the best.
There is also an optional 2-player mode for those who want to play this game with a friend. The question is though, will fans love Fire Emblem Warrior’s gameplay?įire Emblem Warriors has two modes: Story Mode and History Mode. Everything from the basic plot to the game’s dialogue is what it should be for a Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem is known for its fantastic stories and Warriors is no different.
